How many Helium balloons would it take to make a flying Squirrel?

- I have a gray Squirrel in a live trap and my 8 year old wants to see if he can make it fly. The 9 year old wants to use model rocket engines. How many Helium balloons would it take to make a flying Squirrel?
Now come on, Why are you harassing a poor squirrel ???

Ya know your a nicer guy than that..

So this is what you do..

Take the other one into the country in the meanwhile... Let it go in peace.. Its human like all of us..

Go for a ride and find a dead one and put it in the cage...

Bring it back in the cage while the kids arent home and put it in the exact spot so they dont expect anything..

Then when they go to see it.. Do what ever you want with it.. If you choose the balloons i would say about 40 of them to get a great take off.. lol

Hey its a good idea and its not cruealty to a alive animal either!!

6
umm how much does it weight a ballon can lift .3 pounds each so do the math
why not just gently place that Squirral in a sling shot and shoot for the moon!...xxx
What is this? Pick on squirrels day or what?

At least get the poor guy drunk or high or something before you shoot him up in the air. Maybe a nice can of mixed nuts would be humane, a sort of last meal.
The rocket idea is a good one. Your son is a smart one. But if you are going to use the balloons you don't need many squirrel is high enough today. You know Saturdays are are the days he really lets loose. Love, honey
i'd go with the 8 yr olds idea, if i had to make a choice ;)

i'd say a good dozen would start him off
i don't think thats a very good idea. probably like 10 though. put it in a chair or basket or something though.
shame on you for even considering it
A lot...?
around 8 !

i like the rocket engine idea more.
Hahah, ROTFLMFAO. Well squirrels don't weigh that much, probably like somewhere between 1-3 lbs. It would only take like 15-20 or so balloons. (or 1 big model rocket engine).
