By 'pet' I do not mean captive squirrels but ones that you can let out of the cage and play with.Naturaly enough squirrels can ever be let outside or they will escape.Anyone out there have any pet flying squirrels?
I had a neighbor who had one and it was kinda weird but once you got used to it, it was pretty fun! Now I wouldnt recomend one as a pet cause they do tear things up and are still wild animals. People like to think that because an animal lives inside that its now domesticated... not true! Flying squirrels are NOT domesticated by any means. They can be trained to deal with that situation but can never be fully domesticated like a dog or cat.
Also, the dude who owned this squirrel told me, ';NEVER own any other animal bigger than the squirrel cause it will NEVER want to come out and could starve itself from fear.'; Its someting to do with it being affraid it will be eaten and not to mention from my experience with dogs and such, im sure the other animal would think of it as a toy hahaAnyone out there have any pet flying squirrels?
yea...... but he's really a sugar glider but theyre pretty much the same......
his names stitch and he is really pretty an SOFT!!!!
they are called sugar gliders not flying squirrels
