How do I rehabilitate flying squirrels to the wild?

We have flying squirrels in our house. One sadly died, one we set free. Someone is coming tomorrow to put baffles on that will let them leave the house, but not come back in. He is also willing to live trap them humanely, but said the problem is, they are very delicate and are apt to die if moved elsewhere, especially if moved into an environment with a competing established colony who will fight and kill to maintain their dominance. We need a squirrel-free house, but I love squirrels and don't want them to suffer or to kill them (and I have heard they are a protected species to boot). Any suggestions? Serious and kind answers only.How do I rehabilitate flying squirrels to the wild?
I found a really great discussion forum for squirrel pets--and problem squirrels also

.

Check out http://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/index鈥?/a>

and specifically a thread called ';Squirrel in attic of our log cabin Live trap Help!';

It's under ';Help Needed! %26gt; Non Life Threatening Help Needed'; at this URL:

Part way down it discusses RELEASING but NOT relocating, and the reasons why.

Most important is to find out where they are getting in, and then install a one-way door so they can leave but not re-enter.How do I rehabilitate flying squirrels to the wild?
hm..lol well, I think a squirrel-free house is first on the priority list. It's nice that you're thinking about the well being of the squirrels (i like rodents too) but they have to leave no matter what. So yes, they might die if moved elsewhere, but at least theyre dying in squirrel honor in their fight for dominance... instead of drowning in toilets?

So remove them from your house in a humane way, but they have to go back to the wild, and they have to face the other squirrels. Whatever happens from there...well there's not much you can do about it.

It's nice that you're caring about them~ =)
r they tame???

If so you need to sell theme not put theme in the wild because they will die
