we had a flying squirrel in our house 4 days ago and on that first day we encountered him after 2 hours we finally got him contained into our small computer room. Now on the fourth day he finally entered our trap that contains the animal in a cage so you can set him free, but the problem is that the squirrel is breathing heavy and isn't moving around so much. I was thinking that he was extremely frightened because my dad and dog had to chase him earlier to get him in the cage because 4 days was getting to long and we wanted him out because my mom needs the computer for work.
Anyway, we were going to let him out but i think he might die? I was wondering if any people out there reading this knows anything about squirrels, (if there hybernating right now, or what food they like so i can feed him before we let him go) anything that would help because i dont want him to die.Southern Flying Squirrel in our home?
Defiantly take him to a vet immediately!!!!!
