you need to contact a state wildlife agency. laws vary by states. flying squirrels and sugar gliders are not the same thing at all. you should probably do more research on both before you decide to get one. they are a lot of work to keep as pets.
Hi, I live in Connecticut and i don't think you can have them as pets since they're wild animals but i'm really not sure..
I have had one for years named Rocky, they don't make good pets though. Seems like he was always running off with a Moose.
