For all the flying squirrel owners out there.....?

im geting a pet flying squirrel and the only thing im worried about is the fact that it could live 10-15 years! is a flying squirrel the kind of pet where the excitment will eventually wear off and ill kind of hav to force myself to play with him like a hamster or a turtle? or will a squirrel be mor of a companion like a dog, and he'll be like my best friend that i'll want to always hav with me? thanks and i hope this question is understandableFor all the flying squirrel owners out there.....?
i answered your other post... but i'd like to also add here that they are not like dogs. it can be lots of tough love. they might not want to 'play' with you in the way you want to play. my flyer likes to jump to me and from me, but then wants to be left alone. and they can live 10-15 years... make sure you don't have any false expectations about flyers. they won't interact with you like a dog or cat, but they are still fun to play with and observe.For all the flying squirrel owners out there.....?
if you have doubts, do not even get the little creature. people who feel the need to get exotic pets should examine their motives.
