Nope. But it;s more accurate to say that they glide not fly. They can't create any lift like a bird or anything. they just catch air and glide, look at sky divers in gliding suits and it's a good comparision.Are flying squirrels just regular squirrels who've lost a lot of weight?
No, they have a sort of webbing under their arms and between their legs which allow them to catch the wind for gliding short distances.
No they just are squirrels that have an extra flap of skin under their armpits that allows them to glide and appear to fly.

Squirrels who can fly are avid drinkers of Red Bull.
