Are flying squirrels legal to own in CT?

According to the Connecticut Government website, it is illegal to keep wild animals as pets. You cannot legally own a native wild flying squirrel.

I couldn't find the exact statute page for prohibited animals. It may be legal to own domestically bred flying squirrels (if they exist), but it's definitely illegal to take one out of the wild.

Are flying squirrels the same thing as sugar gliders?? Because I think they are, but I'm not sure. If so, then yes, they are legal there.

But if it's a regular squirrel, then no.Are flying squirrels legal to own in CT?
Flying squirrels are not the same thing as sugar gliders.
